DORNOCH CATHEDRAL
a beautiful setting for a very special Service
25th February 2007
This Centennial year of the founding of our great Scout Movement we celebrated this momentous year in the history of Scouting with our first Ross & Sutherland Area Event: which was a Parade through Dornoch town centre and a Service at the Cathedral led by Rev. Susan Brown on mild and dry Sunday afternoon . The short Parade started from the West Church Hall and finished there after the Service. We were privileged to have as our special guests Dr Monica Main, Lord Lieutenant of Sutherland, Lord John Thurso, M.P. and Jamie Stone, M.S.P.
A day to remember for years to come.
We will let you know soon as to why these two Explorer Scouts
were chosen to carry our new Flag being paraded for the first time.
