1st CONON BRIDGE AND MARYBURGH SCOUT GROUP
Scouting began in Maryburgh in 1909, and was known as 14th Ross-shire (1st Maryburgh)
The first record of Troop registration was in 1925, when the Scout Master was A. A. MacLennan and the Assistant Scout Master was R. West.
Records show that there were 18 Scouts.
Then in 1962 the 14th Ross-shire (1st Maryburgh) became the 8th Ross-shire (1st Conon Bridge & Maryburgh).
At present the group now has a Beaver Colony with leaders Joan, Sheila and Jane with 21 Beavers, and two Cub packs on in Conon run by Corinna with 15 Cubs and Maryburgh Cubs run by Julie, John and Morven again with 15 Cubs.
