Chubb Fire Safety badge Sponsorship Resource Pack has been sent to all U.K. Leaders but if you missed out you can download information, etc. from    www.chubb.co.uk      to request their Pack via National Scouting’s  email address:    info@scout.org.uk

Beavers to Explorers not necessarily involved in the Badge work can still have some great fun times doing Fire Prevention posters, visiting a Fire Station and doing a Fire Assessment check of their own homes.  The Website editor taught Safety Awareness in Scouting for many years in Suffolk requested all youngsters drew a plan of their own houses, how to exit in case of fire and the safest way to do especially from upstairs.  Similarly they had to draw and tell me where Fire exits were in their School’s main Hall in case of a sudden emergency.

Cash Revenue is a continual source of concern for all Scout Groups.  One method worth considering especially is the organising of a regular ‘collection point’ of old mobile phones and printer cartridges.  There are 1000’s of these discarded creating major future environmental damage, and all can be recycled from your friends, work colleagues and Businesses.  Regular collecting can be a very useful cash earner as well as part of environmental badge work.   Contact:   www.scoutsappeal.com      You can also get a registration from Scottish Scout Headquarters.

Remember all Warranted Leaders receive a copy of the National Scouting Magazine FREE ! also National Headquarters - also regularly emails Leaders with details of Fund Raising ideas and Sources of the many Grants available from Private and Public Sector.
