DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS FLAG IS ?

INVERGORDON CUB SCOUTING IS DOING WELL IN THIS BUSY BLACK ISLE TOWN FAMOUS FOR IT'S NAVAL DOCK AND PORT FROM BEFORE THE 1900'S.

CRUISE LINERS CALL IN LARGE NUMBERS NOW FOR THE SHELTER OF THE CROMARTY FIRTH IN THE DEEP WATER ANCHORAGE.  COACHES CALL IN EACH VISIT TO TAKE PASSENGER AWAY ALL OVER THE HIGHLANDS SIGHTSEEING AND GETTING A REAL 'TASTE' OF SCOTLAND.  A GREAT THRILL FOR ALL IS THE PIPE BAND PLAYING ON THE QUAYSIDE.

OVER 50 SHIPS CALLING FOR 2006.

BACK IN 2005 WE HAD

THE QUEEN ELIZABETH 11 CRUISE LINER   -    AND THE

BRAND NEW QUEEN MARY 11 CRUISE LINER

Check out the newspapers and Dockyard for the annual list of Ships calling.  Something really thrilling with a huge ship sailing into the Firth and departing, especially on a warm, sunny evening !

Back to the flag - it is the Scottish version of the national Cub Scout Flag with the Saltire Cross as part of the flag.

The green flag with yellow lettering version is for Scout Troops

There are some very old flags about with a WOLF head used on flags made before 1967

I noticed an old dark coloured Saltire Flag at our  Dornoch Parade was superimposed with an Arrowhead and lettering.  Can anyone tell us when this was made.
