In the Beginning...
The first Jamboree on the Air was held in 1958 following the success of the amateur radio station at the World Scout Jamboree at Sutton Coldfield in 1957. JOTA  is the largest international Scouting event in the world with over 500,000 Scouts and Guides taking part.

Jamboree on the Air is the highlight of the Radio Scouting calendar, when Scouts have the opportunity to practice many of the skills they have discovered during the year.
