strathpeffer camp parade may 2007a

Ross & Sutherland Scouting on Parade at Strathpeffer, near Dingwall, Ross-shire on a chilly late May evening as part of our National Scout Association's year of Centenary Celebrations

Our various Sections of Scouting left their Camping ground at Castle Leod near by and walked up to the small victorian village spa resort of Strathpeffer, Ross-shire.  It is tucked into the beginning of the hills that are part of the great western Highlands of Scotland.  The informal 'Parade' was acknowledged by the local Pipe Band who play for 30 mins every Saturday with a short display of Highland Dancing by young people.

Our 'Parade' was led by the Union Flag and our new Ross & Sutherland Area Flag carried by Explorer Scouts.  The Sea Scouts of Avoch led the Campers into the centre of the village.
